News: - Minimum attendance is back!
- Boys discussed this and their choice was to have Scout through 1st class 50% across the board for meetings, campouts, Community service and fundraising.
- Star and above the boys wanted 70% meetings, 66% for fundraisers and Community Service and 50% for campouts
After a discussion from Mr. Bauer and Mr. Palmer saying that we cannot have different standard by rank and that councel is pushing that the district standardize on 50% across the board to be considered “active” the attendance was editted to be:
- All scouts wishing to be considered “active” toward advancement must have attendance of at least 50% across all four (meetings, Community service, Fundraising and campouts – No AVERAGING)
- Boys seeking or in leadership positions must have 60% minimum attendance in all four and they likely need to have much better than that as it is hard to lead boys you are not in front of.
- For ranks STAR and below, we will look back four months to determine attendance numbers (unless further benefits the scout). Ranks LIFE and EAGLE will require attendance going back a minimu of six months.
