Events from May 2011

Troop 301 started the month with our annual CAR WASH fundraiser.

The weather was poor but the boys came out and the community showed their support by coming to have their cars washed even though it looked like rain was on the way.

After some needed hose repair the boys manned the signs and it was time to wash cars!

We even dried them so that mother nature could wet them again just hours later :-(

At the end of the month the troop participated in honoring those who gave their lives protecting our freedom.

The troop re-grouped in the drizzle at the Capital One bank.

….and then it was time to MARCH!

The march ended at the memorial on the school grounds adjacent to the tran station parking lot. The scouts got to relax for a little while.

Then the colors were lined up in fron of the stands.

Then it was time to get serious…

Dominick Ercolano addressed the crowd while Chaplain Richard “Red” Morgan waited behind. VFW Post 395 Commander Frank Todaro helped place wreaths (nearest).

Red Morgan addresses those in attendance.

This was followed by “TAPS” and a rifle salute.

Thank you to all the scouts who were there to show their respects.
