The hike has several distance options depending on time and exhaustion, ranging from 3-6 miles.
Trails are Dunderberg and Ramapo. Maps will be available at Troop meeting.
Meet at church at 6:30, wheels up at 6:45.
Remember 3 quarts of water per person-BYO.
We will use Troop and personal backpacking stoves. Meals are to be dehydrated or boil-a-bag, no clean-up variety.
BYO meals-dehydrated (Walmart, Dicks) or leftovers in 1 quart freezer bags- cold, not frozen like a rock; meal is boiled in bag to warm.
Both Mr. Herrmann & Mr. Stickevers have a stock of dehydrated meals that they will bring to the meeting on October 11th if you do not want to make the trip to Wal-Mart or Dick’s. Shop with your Scoutmaster if you wish.
