All adults attending Tri-Mount or will be joining the troop on any campouts in the future MUST BE TRAINED in BSA Youth Protection.
This means that you need to go to http://www.scouting.org/ and click on the “Need to Create a Log In? Start here” link.
Create an account using an e-mail address that is not used by another member of your family for Boy Scout training. BSA tracks by this e-mail address.
Once you are in, click on “E-LEARNING” along the left side.
Under “BASIC TRAINING”, select “Youth Protection Training”.
After completing and passing the class (about 20 min.) print out the certificate and give a copy of it to Mr. McGarry.
This is TOTALLY FREE!
Please also take “This is Scouting” as this will help you understand how Boy Scouts is different from Cub Scouts and what is means to be a “Boy Lead Troop”.
Please turn in all the certificates at the March 18th meeting.
BOYS READING THIS TELL YOUR PARENTS!
A Scout is HELPFUL.
