Camporee Fee Update

There was a mistake in the fee for the Camporee it is $10.00 per scout not $35.00 that was quoted

Cell Phone Collection

Mrs. Pedone is collecting old, unused and unwanted cell phones, PDAs and accessories for recycling. The troop gets up to $10 for each phone that is donated.

There will be a box at the meetings every week until late November.

Fall Camporee

The Fall Camporee will be October 9th,10th, and 11th. All permission slips are due this Thursday October 1st. There is also a $35.00 $10.00, see above camping fee for this trip. If you do not have a permission slip in on Thursday you will NOT be able to attend the camporee

St James Day

All families are asked to bake a cake or cookies for the troop to sell. All scouts that have not signed up for a time slot to help out this Sunday should know their availability and sign up to help on Sunday. See Mr Calamia and let him know when you will be there

Scout Leadership Training

Mr. Tokarski will be running leadership training on Friday, October 2nd, from 6:15 to 9:15 at the Presbyterian Church across from the library.
All scouts above first class, especially those in leadership positions or considering one, are strongly encouraged to attend.

Canoe Trip This Weekend

Troop 301: to make this campout work please give your patrol leaders your permission slips and an activity fee of $16.00 at THE BEGINNING of this Thursday’s meeting. We are past a deadline for tour permits. If we can not get this together the trip will be cancelled.

Religious Awards

Nissequogue Canoe Trip

We will be canoeing the Nissequogue this weekend and camping out at Short Beach.
The troop is meeting at the bull at 6am and canoeing up to Short Beach. We will arrive before noon and stay overnight. Parents can come pick up scouts on Sunday morning around 9am.

The Up Coming Year

Hey guys it’s Tom just letting everyone know about the meeting this week. Troop 301′s first meeting will be at St. James Lutheran Church on Thursday September 10th at 7:30 pm. Hope to see everyone there and hope everyone had a great summer.

Deepwells Update!

Deepwells Project 002
The Deepwells project will be postponed today Sunday September 6th and will continue next Saturday September 12th from 9 to 4. Next week we will finally start the staining of the fence. Scouts are kindly asked to bring a paint bush, and or a hedge cutter, to remove foliage from the fence.
